À parte uns efeitos secundários, «a regional nuclear war could spark "unprecedented" global cooling and reduce rainfall for years, according to U.S. government computer models.»
Nota: claro que algumas criaturas, que se auto-designam por cépticos mas que não passam de meros negacionistas, já começaram a tentar, maliciosamente, denegrir esta solução. Este, por exemplo, quandfo escreve: «Well, if we believe this article, and if nuclear war is a real possibility - then we should start pumping more c02 in the air immediately. Big trucks, big cars, less emission regulations, more cow flatulence, industrialize the world immediately. Save the planet from a nuclear winter. Geesh!!»
